Battery Powered Operation
The unit can offer approximately 15 hours of laser/radar detection on three rechargeable batteries (included). It's handy for people that frequently switch cars, or use rentals, or who just don't desire a power cord dangling in the dash.

A power cord is included, that will both provide power for the detector and recharge the unit's batteries.

3 City Modes/Highway Mode
Highway mode provides full audio and visual warning of laser/radar systems and keep full sensitivity, and could be the default setting of Whistler laser/radar detectors. City mode helps reduce the annoyance of automatic door openers and burglar alarm alerts by providing a primary alert (same distance as Highway Mode) then remaining quiet unless the signal strength becomes very strong. When the signal boosts the unit will alert briefly to notify you from the change in signal strength.

Filter Mode
There are times whenever a radar detector can emit a similar frequency as police radar and can cause your detector to falsely alarm. Sometimes a detector can display a signal when picking up another radar detector in vehicle close by. The Whistler Filter Mode option provides a technique to analyze the signal and verify if it's legitimate police radar or a false alert from another detector.

Seven Dim/Dark Mode
Dim/Dark Mode reduces the illumination of the display. The backlighting could be programmed to be illuminated all the time, only if alarming or choices in between.

Quiet/Auto Quiet Modes
Pressing QUIET before a signal is detected engages Auto Quiet Mode, which automatically cuts down on the audio level following your initial warning to some low audio level setting. Pressing QUIET during a radar/laser encounter silences audio alerts, while allowing visual alerts to hold you informed.

Alert Priority
When two or more signals are received in the same time, the alert priority is: Laser, VG-2, Speed Radar, Safety Radar.

Example: If X band is alerting, then suddenly a VG-2 signal is detected, the VG-2 warning will override the X band alert.

Setting Saver
Setting Saver saves your personalized settings to ensure once the detector is turned off then on again, you are doing not ought to re-enter them.
