When we designed the BlendMount for your V1 Radar Detector (RD), quality and adjustability were our main objectives. We wanted to utilize dead space between the back from the mirror along with the windshield. With the multiple adjustments we designed, an ideal RD placement can be achieved. Even before receiving your BlendMount, first Adjustment is always to reposition your Mirror Stem so it's perpendicular for your Windshield by using the Windshield Pivot at the end of the Cylindrical Stem (see pics). Next adjustment is to also reposition the Stem as High as you can using exactly the same Windshield Pivot. Both these adjustments ensure that your RD will point straight the Windshield, and minimize any View Obstruction. Then simply readjust the Mirror while using Mirror Pivot only, the constant maintenance to not disturb the newly acquired Stem Position. Once you obtain and install your BlendMount, there are many adjustments that allow the perfect placement of one's RD, such as (1) Stem Slide, (2) Hinge Swing, and (3) Vertical Slot (see pics). All these adjustments are clearly described within our Installation Instructions and literally allow for your Perfect Placement of one's RD. Get gone those failing/falling suction cups and Clean Increase windshield !!!
